Local business woman chosen as inspirational role model

Elaine Owen of Designated Associates has today been appointed an official ambassador for the national Girls! Make Your Mark campaign.
Girls! Make Your Mark is a campaign to encourage more young women to have ideas and make them happen – either through running their own business or social enterprise or by making an idea happen at work.
The campaign is brought to life through the inspirational stories of young people, which is why Elaine has been chosen as she is already making her idea happen by creating 3 businesses (Designated Design, Designated IT Consultancy & Designated Learning Solutions).
The campaign aims to recruit 100 ambassadors across the UK, who together will use their stories to inspire others, through speaking engagements, networking, being profiled in media and getting involved in campaign initiatives. These 100 recruits will also become part of a wider network of 1000 ambassadors which Margaret Hodge MP is championing, and who are being recruited via the Regional Development Agencies (RDAs).
