Born September 1964.Three children; Elaine enjoys helping to make a difference in her local community and in the wider business environment and being with her family. Originally from the Wirral, Elaine’s career moved to Leeds 22 years ago to set up a training company and to work for the then named Coopers & Lybrand.  She returned to the Wirral to marry and has remained on the Wirral since.

Position:

MD of Designated Associates, Elaine is used to working with a range of public and private sector organisations and service contracts that often lead to additional consulting work within the areas of Business Growth,  Enterprise, Learning & Development, People Management,  IT, Systems Design and Customer Relationship Management solutions  and systems.   She is responsible on a day to day basis within Designated for Strategic Planning, Operation Quality and Customer Relationship Management.

Elaine is the joint chair of Ripples on the Wirral and a panel member of Ripples on the Mersey. The Sirolli Institute is a global, not for profit, education and training organisation of experienced professionals with the mission of introducing Enterprise Facilitation to communities seeking to grow their economies from within.  Elaine gives her time freely to encouraging and supporting enterprise growth.

Elaine is a Director of Egerton House (Wirral) Ltd.  Egerton House is a  Wirral based hub of enterprise and business growth.  A beautiful, dock site setting in a prime location.  Egerton House provides office space, an Enterprise suite for female entrepreneurs, elegant spacious conference facilities and provides a one stop shop facility from which local agencies are able to be available to the local business community.

Elaine represents the private sector to the Local Strategic Partnership for Wirral.  The LSP has been put together to get things right and really make a difference where it counts – in the heart of all our local communities.  They work in partnership to ensure that Wirral’s services are centred on the needs of local areas and that local people can truly have a voice in influencing and directing future service delivery.

Elaine is Chair of Wirral ICT cluster to help local IT businesses. Capturing the thoughts, perspectives, concerns and aspirations of these companies and helping to translate them into action on the local, regional, national and international platforms, via her board position at Merseyside ICT.

Elaine is a council member of the Learning and Skills Council for Greater Merseyside representing the private sector, also sitting upon the Adult Skills, Employability and Regeneration Committee with responsibility for Train to Gain.   The rôle of the LSC is to ensure the quality and sustainability of the skills and training programmes delivered in the North West.

Elaine is a Director for Women In Business North West.  Women In Business is a limited company who provide business support services, networking and training opportunities to women in the pre-start, start-up and existing company stage.  Elaine provides Business advice and provides mentoring & support services for female entrepreneurs and would-be entrepreneurs.  For further information please see www.womeninbusiness.com.
